i have a 2002 f250 super duty i have replaced the p/s pump and gear box when i hit the brakes i loose steering
with no brakes on p/s works good if you drive it its fine only at a stand still with foot on brakes there is no steering.please help

This has nothing to do with that system. it is an automatic with a v10 engine.
Power steering pump belt slipping? Change the belt tensioner and get a good year gatorback belt! done! You can change the pulley to a smaller one (in size) and change the belt to a smaller size as well. Almost like having a under drive system. Look for a kit for your V10! I think you have the wrong 6 groove pulley(power steering pump pulley) on the truck.
